Coach Ryan is a personal trainer for Adult Fitness at FSP. Prior to joining FSP's coaching staff, Coach Ryan was a Health Educator at the Fort Drum Army Wellness Center where she worked with Active Duty soldiers and civilians to improve health and performance through cardiorespiratory and metabolic testing, biofeedback sessions for stress management, and group classes and one-on-one sessions to improve health in the areas of stress, sleep, nutrition, and tobacco cessation. Coach Ryan also did personal trained soldiers to improve performance for US Army specialty schools and active duty service. Prior to that, she was a Track and Field coach with a focus on sprints and relays and an assistant Strength and Conditioning coach at Husson University. While obtaining her Master of Education degree in Kinesiology and Exercise Science at the University of Maine, she was the Graduate Assistant Fitness Coordinator at the UMAINE New Balance Recreation Center where she oversaw the fitness department, personal trained a variety of clientele, and taught group exercise classes. Coach Ryan is a former full-scholarship Track and Field Sprinter from the University of Maine. She is recognized as a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist by the National Strength & Conditioning Association.
