THE ELITE ATHLETE PROGRAM
Advanced science-backed youth speed and agility training, strength development, and sports performance training for athletes ages 12 and up.
NEXT-LEVEL GAME SPEED AND AGILITY
WHAT IT IS
Speed, while most often associated with straight-line (linear) sprinting, involves the ability to accelerate and decelerate in all directions. Agility is the ability to quickly change direction to accelerate again.
WHY IT MATTERS
Speed isn’t just about maximum velocity and 40yd dashes. Plays evolve and change direction and players need to be able to change with it. The ability to rapidly develop force and get to open space quicker than your opponent, give you a jump start on the play and in sports, quick acceleration is more useful more often than high-end top speed. True youth speed and agility training doesn’t just show up in a test, it’s there when you need it to make the big play.
HOW WE DO IT
Utilizing tried and true drills, reactive elements, and elite coaching techniques, we’re able to help athletes develop sound linear sprinting mechanics that translate into multi-directional speed, acceleration, and deceleration that you can actually use in games!
Elite Athletes learn how to develop a quick, explosive first 3 steps, how to accelerate to create space, and how to reach top speed.
Elite Athletes learn how to use their feet to manage their center of gravity, how to decelerate, and how to either reaccelerate or change direction entirely.
WHAT YOU GET
- Explosive linear speed
- Rapid change-of-direction
- Space-creating acceleration
- Efficient deceleration
- Quick reaction times
- Game-ready speed and agility
EXPLOSIVE POWER
WHAT IT IS
Power is your young athlete’s ability to produce force with speed. In short, power is how fast and intensely your muscles contract.
WHY IT MATTERS
There’s no better predictor of speed and throwing potential than jumping ability. Explosive triple extension translates into real sports movements almost immediately. Sprinting strides, throwing, shooting, etc. all begin with the ability to aggressively put force into the ground and rapidly translate that force throughout the movement.
HOW WE DO IT
Elite Athletes are taught proper jumping and landing mechanics from day one and over time, learn to coordinate their bodies to produce power in all planes and directions.
Elite Athletes learn how to properly absorb ground reaction forces initially and progressing quickly into rapid reflex and using their muscles elasticity to efficiently produce power in repeated effort jump sequences.
Elite athletes are introduced to Olympic weightlifting techniques in their first week of training to help their muscles twitch faster in-game.
WHAT YOU GET
- Explosive triple extension
- Improved muscle elasticity
- Sound jumping technique
- Efficient landing mechanics
- Lower ground contact times
GAME-DOMINATING STRENGTH
WHAT IT IS
Strength is the ability to produce force and can be viewed as absolute or relative. Absolute strength is how much weight is on the bar. Relative strength is how much weight you moved per pound of your own bodyweight. Elite Athletes have both.
WHY IT MATTERS
The ability to produce force means you don’t get pushed around. Force production translates into more power in your jumps and throws, more efficient energy use in game, and resistance to contact and non-contact related injuries Strong athletes are confident and confident athletes are strong. Elite Athletes have the joint stability and strength to hit harder, throw with more velocity, and the durability to outlast a long grueling season while others sit on the injury list. All the speed and agility training in the world won’t matter as much if you can’t produce more force.
HOW WE DO IT
You’re put in a strength development model designed for YOUR immediate and long-term success.
Elite Athletes are introduced to powerlifting techniques from the first session, learning how to move with strength in all planes of movement to have a lasting impact on all aspects of sports performance and loaded in a way that promotes sustainable growth rather than plateaus.
Through corrective tequniques and progressive loading patterns, Elite Athletes are able to get stronger year-round, in-season and out.
WHAT YOU GET
- Elite maximal strength
- Strength at all ranges of motion
- Injury-preventing stability
- Improved economy of movement
- Lifelong confidence
